About the Author

 Vilenti Tulloch is the CEO and President of the Academic Leadership Association, LLC (ALA), and the author of Engage to Excel. As a doctoral candidate at American International College, he brings deep expertise and lived experience to his work in education, leadership, and equity.

With a professional background spanning social work, teaching, adjustment counseling, and school administration, Vilenti has dedicated his career to supporting youth and transforming school communities. Today, he leads ALA-an organization committed to empowering students and equipping educators to build equitable, relationship-centered learning environments.


Vilenti has trained thousands of educators, launched mentoring initiatives across districts, and developed programs that strengthen identity, leadership, and academic ownership for students. His leadership extends beyond schools, serving on numerous nonprofit boards including Caring Health Center, Make It Springfield, and Hilltop Academy, a micro-school startup.

His contributions have earned him several prestigious honors, including the Springfield Thunderbirds Impact Award, the NAACP Community Impact Award, and BusinessWest 40 Under 40 recognition.

Driven by a passion for equity, relationships, and student excellence, Vilenti continues to champion the development of leaders-educators and students alike-who don't just comply, but excel.
